Situated on both sides of the Saginaw River are two business districts and community parks. You will find art fairs, side walk sales, concerts in the park, baseball tournaments, boat shows and one of the largest fireworks displays in the state on July 4th weekend. The Bay City Area Chamber of Commerce has a web site listing the community’s summer activities. There are four full service marinas located on the river, Bay Harbor Marina, Brennan Marine, Pier 7, and Anderson Marine. Michigan Marine Bay Tow offers 24 hour marine towing. The Saginaw Bay Yacht Racing Association and Bay City Yacht Club have very active racing activities and welcome all to race with them. Interested in sailing? The United States Coast Guard station is located on the river and watches out for our safety. The Saginaw Bay Power Squadron, a Unit of the United States Power Squadron offers safety classes for novice and advanced seaman. Delta College Sailing School offers classes to all ages. The Coast Guard Auxiliary offers boat safety inspections and classes. As you can see the Saginaw Bay area offers a variety of things to do, so come join us for a fun and safe summer.
