Slips for Sale or Rent

DockWithSigns If you’re thinking about buying or renting a slip in the Bay City area, Sunset Shores Yacht Club (SSYC) offers a great deal of amenities and is a great choice. Our facilities include dockside power and water, holding tank pump-out equipment, picnic tables, BBQ grills, bathrooms, showers, laundry facilities, a community room and lots of friendly fellow-boaters.

SSYC has a state-of-the-art Wi-Fi system by Tricon Services Marine Wi-Fi. Want to access your key business and recreational websites or stream your favorite movies, no problem. This system has a strong signal and a fast band width to better serve our membership.

We’re five minutes from the Saginaw Bay (just turn left out of our channel). Turn right and there are plenty of options ( just up the Saginaw River) for fuel, repairs, towing, restaurants, shopping and many fun activities.

All of the slips at SSYC are individually managed by the shareholder. To inquire about renting or buying a slip, it is necessary to contact the shareholder that owns that share. It is the responsibility of the shareholder to assure that any boat moored in SSYC does not impede the safe approach or departure of boats in adjacent slips. All shareholders are responsible for ensuring that renters and/or buyers complete all required paperwork per SSYC Bylaws and SSYC Club Association Rules (see Documents & Standards).

Two Documents Must Be on File…

Prior to any vessel being moored in a slip at SSYC, two documents MUST be on file with the Fleet Captain:

1. A properly completed Current Year Mooring Form (link to form) for that vessel. Please note that the form is “fillable” and can be printed off.

2. A copy of your vessel’s Proof of Insurance (or section thereof) clearly showing a minimum of $300,000.00 of liability insurance covering the vessel for the current boating season.

Note: All Renters and Shareholders are responsible for knowing and following the SSYC Club Association Rules.

Note: It is recommended that all shareholders planning to rent their slips use a Slip Lease Agreement (SLA).
